1. Physical & Chemical Properties:

  • Color: White, off-white, or light yellow (similar to natural rice)
  • Form: Extruded rice-shaped granules
  • Taste & Odor: Neutral, free from foreign taste or odor
  • Moisture Content: ≤ 12%
  • Ash Content: ≤ 2.0%
  • Bulk Density: 0.5 – 0.8 g/ml

2. Nutritional Composition (Per 100g FRK Premix):

  • Carbohydrates: 70% – 80%
  • Protein: 7% – 12%
  • Fat: ≤ 1%
  • Fiber: ≤ 2%
  • Iron (Fe): 28-42.5 mg/kg
  • Folic Acid (B9): 750-1250 mcg/kg
  • Vitamin B12: 2.5-4.2 mcg/kg
  • Zinc (Zn): 20-50 mg/kg (Optional)

3. Fortification Standards (As per Government Regulations & FSSAI Guidelines):

  • Iron Sources: Ferrous sulfate, Ferric pyrophosphate
  • Vitamins & Minerals: Folic acid, Vitamin B12, Zinc (if required)
